Serwaa Amihere

GHANAIAN BROADCAST journalist and lawyer, Serwaa Amihere, returns to host the 2026 ‘Women of Valour’ London edition themed, “The Pursuit of Fearlessness,” after her absence last year due to commitment to school.

This announcement was made by Founder of Women of Valour, Nana Aba Anamoah, during the official launch of the 4th edition held at the Residence of the British High Commissioner to Ghana.

“Due to commitments to school last year, our main host Serwaa Amihere was unable to join us in Paris, but we are happy to announce that this year, she is back as our main host in London, and she’s returning here as a lawyer,” Nana Aba stated.

Nana Aba Anamoah, speaking on the role of the media in creating safe spaces for women and girls, highlighted the need for media, policymakers, and activists to work together to protect women and girls, who are often the most vulnerable to insecurity.

“We can’t pursue fearlessness when safety is not assured. Every woman, every girl, every child, every man, must feel safe. But of course, we like to focus on the more vulnerable groups, so women and children – our focus this evening is about creating safe spaces,” she stressed.

Ms. Anamoah noted that when women come together to share their challenges and successes, they are able to rebuild and find strength, especially in the face of adversity. “Too many women, as we all know, are still living cautiously instead of free,” she added, emphasising the need for collective action to address the issue.

Serwaa Amihere, on her part, expressed her excitement in hosting this year’s edition, pledging to give her ultimate best as the main moderator of the show.

“Personally, I love the fact that I’m the host of Women of Valour, and I’m not just the host of Women of Valour. I’m the face of Women of Valour. I mean, if you’ve been following my journey, you will be so happy for me, because I’m happy to do this with a woman who has hugely impacted my life. So thank you. Thank all of you for coming. I’ll see all of you in London. If you’ve never seen me host a show, please don’t miss London and you won’t forget it,” she stated.

‘Women of Valour 2026’ is happening in London on March 7, 2026, at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

This year’s event will feature a powerhouse lineup, including Ghanaian actress and TV presenter known for her roles in ‘Tentacles’ and ‘Asoreba’, Nana Ama McBrown; Nigerian actress and social advocate recognised for her award-winning performances, Kate Henshaw.

Other speakers are CEO of Export Boot Camps and former Director General of the UK Institute of Export and International Trade, Lesley Batchelor CBE; survivor of childhood sexual abuse and Cambodian-American advocate, Debora Shanley.
