A truck transporting food supplies from the National Buffer Stock Company in Tema to senior high schools within the Akuapem enclave was involved in an accident.

The incident, which occurred around 4:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026, involved a vehicle with registration number GE 7183-14.

According to Angel News reporter Jaman Dehyee Opambour, the vehicle was carrying tomato paste and mackerel intended for distribution to schools.

He added that the truck encountered difficulties while climbing the Adukrom mountain, reportedly failed to ascend, rolled backwards, and eventually capsized.

The accident resulted in minor injuries to the driver and his mate, who were rushed to the Okere District Hospital for first aid and further medical attention.

“…No death but minor injuries,” it states in the reportage.

The goods have since been conveyed to the Okere Police Station for safekeeping as investigations continue.
