Gambian appointed to officiate South Africa vs Ghana U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier second leg – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

Ngum Fatou of The Gambia has been appointed to officiate the second leg of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier between South Africa and Ghana.

Fatou will be assisted by fellow Gambians Abbie Ceesay as Assistant I and Jainaba Manneh as Assistant II, while Isatou Touray will serve as the fourth referee. Cindy Barbara Dludlu of Eswatini has been named Match Commissioner, with Constance Catherine Wejuli Adipo of Uganda appointed as Referee Assessor.

The decisive fixture will be played at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, South Africa, with kick-off scheduled for 15:00hrs on Saturday, February 14, 2026.

The tie remains finely balanced after the first leg ended 2-2 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Ghana surrendered a two-goal lead in that encounter, leaving both sides with everything to play for in the return leg.

The winner over the two legs will advance to the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland.
