Frederick Leonard Drags Stanley Ontop To Court Over Alleged Defamation

Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard has filed a petition against filmmaker and media personality Stanley Ontop over alleged defamation of character.

Naija News reports that the petition, dated January 28, 2026, was sent to the Delta State Police Command through Leonard’s lawyers, Uche Okoro & Co.

In the document, the actor accused Stanley Ontop of making repeated statements that damaged his reputation without any provocation for more than two years.

Leonard also claimed that the filmmaker had been spreading stories that painted him in a bad light, which he said had created a wrong public image about him.

He maintained that the actions were deliberate and harmful to his personal and professional life.

The actor later made the petition public by sharing it on his Instagram page on Monday.

In his post, Leonard warned that he was ready to pursue the matter legally and would ensure that those involved were held accountable.

He added that anyone making claims or allegations against him must be ready to back them up with facts, noting that this case would serve as a lesson and that others could also face legal action if similar actions continued.

He wrote: “Mr. Stanley Chibueze Ajemba a.k.a Stanley Ontop. You have been served, the law will takes its course to the full extent. You first, others will follow. If you claim or allege, you must prove with evidence. I’m coming for you.”
