The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority to promote tourism development in the country.

According to a statement shared with Saturday PUNCH, NTDA Director-General Ola Awakan and OJAJA Pan Africa Ltd, chaired by the Ooni, formalised a framework designed to merge the federal agency’s mandate with the private-sector expertise of OJAJA, aiming to reposition tourism as a major driver of national development.

The statement said the collaboration would harness the country’s vast cultural heritage, cuisine, and hospitality assets to stimulate economic growth, deepen cultural diplomacy, and attract investments into the tourism value chain.
