
Ghana’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, His Excellency Eddison Mensah Agbenyegah, has presented his Letters of Credence to King Willem-Alexander at a ceremony held on Tuesday, 4 February 2026, at the Royal Palace in The Hague.
During the ceremony, Ambassador Agbenyegah conveyed warm greetings from the Government and people of Ghana and reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to strengthening its longstanding and mutually beneficial partnership with the Netherlands.
He highlighted the importance Ghana attaches to deepening bilateral relations founded on shared values, cooperation, and development.
The Ambassador was accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Vera Agbenyegah, and senior officials of the Ghana Embassy in The Hague.
Discussions during the event focused on opportunities to enhance technical and development cooperation between the two countries.
Particular emphasis was placed on leveraging Dutch expertise to support Ghana’s 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Programme (24H+), with special attention to the Volta Economic Corridor Project as a catalyst for trade, investment, and sustainable economic growth.
The presentation of the Letters of Credence marks the formal assumption of duties by Ambassador Agbenyegah and signals a renewed chapter in Ghana–Netherlands relations, as both countries reaffirm their commitment to continued collaboration for shared development and prosperity.
