Ablakwa supports North Tongu drivers, Okada riders with free fuel

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has launched a free fuel support initiative for commercial drivers, okada riders, and boat operators in the constituency.

The initiative, dubbed Free Fuel Friday, is scheduled for Friday, February 6, 2026, and aims to provide temporary relief to transport operators amid prevailing economic pressures, according to the Minister’s social media handle.

The exercise will run from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at selected fuel stations across the constituency.

In the Battor and Mepe areas, beneficiaries will be served at Star Oil in Battor and Alinco Filling Station in Aveyime. Transport operators in Dorfor, Volo, Fodzoku, and Torgorme will access the support at Life Energy and Alinco Filling Stations in Juapong.

Mr. Ablakwa noted that the initiative forms part of his ongoing efforts to support livelihoods and enhance mobility within the constituency, particularly for operators whose work plays a critical role in local transportation and economic activities.

“This initiative is designed to provide relief to our hardworking transport operators who keep our communities connected and our local economies moving,” he said.
