Superstar Afrobeats singer, David Adeleke, professionally known as Davido, subtly weighs in on the online clash between Wizkid and Seun Kuti.

referring to the singer as a “modern-day Fela.” According to Seun, such comparisons diminish his late father’s revolutionary, political, and cultural impact.
The situation escalated after Seun accused Wizkid of adopting his “Big Bird” nickname and challenged Wizkid’s supporters to raise ₦1 billion to build a school in Surulere, rather than engaging in online arguments.
After several days of silence, Wizkid fired back on Instagram with a series of strongly worded posts. In one of the messages, he declared, “I big pass your papa,” and went on to mock Seun, referring to him as a “fool at 40.”
The feud later took a more personal turn when Wizkid made comments involving Seun Kuti’s wife. Reacting, Seun condemned the inclusion of women and children in the dispute, describing Wizkid’s actions as “senseless.” He further stated that Wizkid would never regain true greatness until he removed Fela Kuti’s tattoo from his hand.
Following the online clash between Wizkid and Seun Kuti, Davido displays his utmost love for the late Fela Kuti and his family as he attended the Fela Anikulapo Kuti Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award event in Los Angeles, California, USA.

In his Instagram page today, January 31st, 2026, Davido shared a new post with Femi Kuti and accompanied it Fela Kuti’s song “Gentleman”.
He added the caption, “I be Africa man original I no be gentleman at all o 🎶.”
