Dr. Omane Boamah calls out EC over challenges –

The Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Omane Boamah has chided the Electoral Commission over what he describes as avoidable errors that characterized Day 1 of the ongoing limited voter registration.

He indicates that Day 1 had challenges including a late start, inaccessible activation codes, the EC’s usual poor network excuse, dumsor.

Dr Omane Boamh expects the Commission to do better.

What broke the camel’s back for him was the Commission’s error in labeling Kasoa as Ayawaso North constituency.

His post shared via social media said “Electoral Commission of Ghana, how can Kasoa be Ayawaso North?

Day one of the voter registration exercise has been pregnant with avoidable challenges such as, late start, inaccessible activation codes, the EC’s usual poor network excuse, dumsor and more.

To place the Awutu Senya East Constituency (Kasoa) in the Central region in a different region (Greater Accra)?

Haba!

How can Kasoa be in Ayawaso North?

The EC must do better!

The limited Registration is taking place for 21 days where new voters among others will be allowed to register to qualify them for voting during the December 2024 elections.

The 21-day exercise will end on May 27, 2024.
