As a country, it would be a whole lot better if we do not hear about the high rate of femicide, but how can we not talk about femicide when it is continuously being committed in the country?
Women are killed every single day, left, right and centre. Killed like flies even. A week barely goes by without a victim of femicide, it is only a matter of time before we hear about a victim of femicide on social media platforms.
It is the same trend each week, with just a different name. It has become a norm, and the question we ask ourselves is who is next?
This time it is 27 year-old Kedidimetse Moshe. Moshe’s lifeless body was allegedly found under a bridge near Chuenespoort along the R37 outside Lebogwakgomo on 17 August 2023.
According to the source, Kedidimetse allegedly sustained a gunshot wound to her upper body. A traffic officer was allegedly arrested in connection with her murder.
