Bafana Bafana midfielder Luke Le Roux secured himself a new move in Europe. The South African national football team player have completed a move from Swedish outfit Varbergs BoIs to the Eredivisie.

Le Roux signed with FC Volendam in the Dutch Eredivisie on a reported three-year deal which should keep him at the club until 2026. However the Bafana Bafana midfield maestro could even stay longer with Volendam as there’s a one-year option to extend in his contract.

The midfield sensation was in the books of Varbergs for three years having made the switch from SuperSport United in 2020 to the Swedish side. The 23-year-old had established himself as a key player in the Varbergs side for the time he spent at the club.

The performances of Luke attracted the much needed attention for him to land on the radars of several clubs, but its Volendam who have lured Luke to the Eredivisie as he will now ply his trade in the Netherlands.

The new three-year move keeps the former PSL player in Europe as he continues his professional football career abroad.

Varbergs BoIs had been a stepping stone in the career of Luke Le Roux and now the opportunity have presented itself for him to make hs presence known on a bigger stage which is the Eredivisie.

Le Roux will now play against Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam which is one of the biggest football clubs in the world having won the UEFA Champions League already.

This marks a new chapter in the South African’s career and we wish him all the best abroad as he continues to shine in Europe.
