LP Spokesperson Alleged that his Party Uncovered Electoral Fraud Perpetrated by PDP

One of the spokespersons of the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Kenneth Okonkwo, claimed that his party exposed electoral fraud committed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Nkanu East Local Government Area during the Enkanu State gubernatorial election.

It will be recalled that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Monday stopped collating the results of the governorship election in the state.

INEC said it was reviewing the results for Nkanu East and Nsukka Local Government Areas because both parties had complained of numerous irregularities.

According to Punch NG, Kenneth Okonkwo alleged on his Twitter account that the PDP manipulated the Nkanu East results to rig the election.

According to Thespiri, 36,976 voters were registered in Nkanu East and 27,594 Permanent Voting Cards (PVCs) were collected.

However, the PDP said 30,560 votes were cast, while the number of voters accredited by BVAS was 7,453.

It therefore asked INEC to immediately declare the victory of LP gubernatorial candidate Chijioke Edeogo over the number of certified voters in Nkanu East.
