Manchester United manager considering life without want away striker

Erik ten Hag has had to come to terms with the fact that he will need to prepare for life without superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who is departing from Manchester United.

Less than a year after his dramatic return from Juventus, the 37-year-old has told Old Trafford management about his desire to leave the club to seek for Champions League football.

While Ronaldo continued to score fantastic goals last season, United had a terrible season and finished with their lowest-ever Premier League point total.

The former Real Madrid forward wants to sign with a side competing in Europe’s top club competition next season rather than continuing to play in the Europa League.

The Sun reports that United initially believed they might persuade Ronaldo to stay and complete the remaining year of his deal.

However, United are now resigned to losing their talismanic striker who appears to have little intention of joining the rest of the team for their impending tour of the Far East and Australia after skipping the start of preseason training due to “family concerns.”

However, Ten Hag is now resigned to considering life without Ronaldo after speaking with United’s main decision-makers. Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is currently searching Europe for a club that can match his ambition and pay his salaries.
