No one was truly surprised when Teresa Giudice’s ill-advised wedding included some last-minute drama.
Rumors of a seriously petty feud between Teresa and Melissa Gorga have circulated all week.
Naturally, more rumors have followed.
Is Melissa really planning to leave The Real Housewives of New Jersey after her latest bitter spat with Teresa?

On Thursday night, Melissa Gorga took to her Instagram Story.
Yes, she has been talking about her strained relationship with her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice.
But some fans are, she accuses, putting words into her mouth.

“People are taking pieces from my podcast,” Melissa wrote, “and assuming I’m leaving the show.”
She commented: “This is how rumors get started.”
Melissa announced: “I never said I was leaving the show.”

“I was just clarifying how we felt after a difficult weekend,” Melissa clarified.
“We have no plans on leaving,” she then confirmed.
Just in case anyone missed the context, Melissa included a tag: “#RHONJ.”

Melissa has spoken at length about her conflict with Teresa.
In particular, as we all know, she and Joe ultimately did not end up attending Tre’s wedding last weekend.
It was a last minute cancelation. But the fight that spawned it was apparently much more dramatic.

“Obviously, we did not attend your sister’s wedding,” she acknowledged on her podcast.
“We have a laundry list of reasons in our heads,” she detailed.
Melissa added: “Obviously there was something that went down at the finale of filming the Real Housewives of New Jersey.”

Obviously, she cannot spell out the events of the show. That would be a spoiler.
But she could say that, as awkward as it is for the bride’s brother and SIL to back out, showing up would have been even weirder.
“There was plenty of reason for Joe and I to say it would be very strange,” Melissa said.

“Including everyone in that room, by the way,” Melissa characterized.
She expected people “to look at Joe and I to say, like, ‘Yes, it would be very strange for you guys to just be sitting in the pews tomorrow, wishing them well on their wedding day.’”
Melissa then emphasized: “It would be strange.”

While she and Joe don’t sound like they have plans to quit, their status as castmates may be an issue with Tre.
“What you can be upset with is that we actually accepted… the invitation, that we accepted the proposal,” Melissa said.
She added: “Yes, we did. Did we do that? 100 percent. Did she, deep down, not want us to do that? I’m sure.”

Melissa then theorized: “I’m sure that’s what’s irked her.”
“But guess what?” she asked.
Melissa pointed out: “I can take an opportunity just like anyone else.”

“She did this. This was all on her. This is what she really wanted,” Joe said of their absence from the wedding.
“She didn’t want you in the wedding,” he noted. “She didn’t want any of my children in the wedding.”
Painfully, Joe added: “She barely wanted me. She hates us. She really didn’t want us there.”
