Self-styled prophet, Ebo Noah, has been granted bail of GH¢100,000 with two sureties by the Adenta Circuit Court.

The order, issued on Thursday, January 15, 2026, followed a psychiatric evaluation conducted after his arrest on December 31.

Ebo Noah faces charges of publishing false news, false communication, and misleading the public after the police said his prophecies risked causing panic, following viral videos in which he claimed a biblical flood would end the world on Christmas Day 2025.

His lawyer, Emmanuel Sarfo, confirmed the bail decision to the media after the court proceedings.

“He has been granted bail with two sureties. The Court wanted to add landed properties to the bail but we pleaded with the court to make it any property, to which the Court agreed,” he said.

The lawyer said that the next court proceedings will take place in the second week of March 2026.

Ebo Noah remanded, referred for psychiatric evaluation

He also warned that a woman claiming to be his mother is an imposter and that her comments should be ignored.

“There is a woman saying she is his mother; we don’t know her; she is an imposter. I plead with the bloggers to crosscheck any information before they publish. We do not know her,” he added.

Ebo Noah, real name Evans Eshun, blew into the trends internationally in November 2025 after he predicted the end of the world through a flood.

Noah’s claims prompted significant public disruption. Reports indicated that some Ghanaians abandoned their homes, and one individual reportedly travelled from Liberia to Ghana seeking safety on the non-existent ark.

After the predicted flood failed to materialize on Christmas Day, Noah claimed his prayers had convinced God to postpone the disaster.

He was arrested on December 31, 2025 and has since told police he was “just creating content for social media.”
