Viewer favourite show “Come Dine With Me South Africa” will be returning this November for its 11th season with the first-ever celebrity series, produced by Rapid Blue.
For the first time, an entire season will be dedicated to some of South Africa’s best-known personalities opening up their homes, planning ambitious menus and putting their hosting skills to the test as they compete for bragging rights and R10,000 for a charity selected by the winner.
Celebrity status counts for very little around the “Come Dine With Me” dinner table, with cooking and hosting skills coming first.
Across six weeks, viewers can expect extravagant themes, culinary triumphs, kitchen catastrophes, creative interpretations of the rules and the kind of unforgettable moments that have made the show one of BBC Lifestyle’s biggest hits.

Pierre Cloete, Vice President for Africa at BBC Studios, teased in a press release that the new season promises to be their biggest yet.
“This celebrity series brings together an incredible mix of South African personalities and places them in a situation they can’t completely control. Audiences will see them at their funniest, most competitive and, in some cases, most chaotic.
“It’s packed with laughs, surprises and more than a few moments people will be talking about long after the credits roll.”
Ryan Deacon, Executive Producer for Rapid Blue, in the press release, hinted that the pressure is higher than ever in the 11th season with the celebrity hosts quickly discovering that creating the perfect evening is no easy feat.
“There was some creative rule-bending, a few attempts to gain an advantage, some spectacular hosting and the occasional disaster. In other words, all the ingredients that make ‘Come Dine With Me’ such brilliant television.”
The show’s legendary narrator, Dave Lamb, will be back with his razor-sharp wit, perfectly timed observations and ruthless takedowns that have become as much a part of the experience as the food itself.
