The Students’ Union Government of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has called for clear information on the fate of corps members recently abducted in Kogi State.
The union raised concerns over conflicting reports that 11 victims had been rescued, saying some families were still unsure about the whereabouts of their loved ones.
In a statement shared on X on Monday, FUNAAB SUG urged authorities to confirm the identities of those rescued and provide verifiable details about their condition.
One of the missing corps members, identified as Adedolapo, is a FUNAAB graduate of the College of Animal Resources Management and Animal Production.
The union also highlighted reports that kidnappers were demanding N20m for each victim allegedly still in captivity, while relatives continued to appeal for government intervention.
Although the Kogi State Police Command confirmed the rescue of 11 victims, it said efforts were ongoing to locate anyone still missing and apprehend the attackers.
FUNAAB SUG said it would continue to press for answers until all affected corps members are safely accounted for.
