Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has congratulated Muslims in the state, Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid Maulud, urging them to emulate the virtues and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Fintiri described the birth of the Holy Prophet as a moment of mercy, guidance and light to humanity, saying his life remained a timeless model of peace, compassion, tolerance, honesty, humility and selfless service.

The governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, urged Muslims and other residents of Adamawa to reflect on the Prophet’s teachings and apply them in their daily lives.

“As we celebrate Maulud, I urge all citizens of Adamawa State to reflect on the virtues that the Prophet stood for. Let us emulate his life of sacrifice, forgiveness, love for one another, and dedication to justice and fairness,” Fintiri said.

He said the values of love, forgiveness, justice and fairness were essential to strengthening unity and peaceful coexistence among Nigerians irrespective of their religious or ethnic backgrounds.

Fintiri also urged Muslims and other residents of the state to use the occasion to pray for peace, unity and prosperity in Adamawa and Nigeria, particularly as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections intensify.

“Government is committed to providing leadership that guarantees security and welfare. I therefore urge citizens to support government policies and to shun acts capable of breaching the peace,” he said.
