Harambee Stars take on Grenada in a FIFA Series third-place playoff as Kenya looks to bounce back from their recent defeat.

Kenya’s national football team, the Harambee Stars, will be looking to bounce back from a recent defeat as they face Grenada in the FIFA Series third-place playoff on Monday evening.

The team, led by coach Benni McCarthy, suffered a narrow loss to Estonia in their opening match on Friday. After the game ended in a 1-1 draw during regular time, Estonia secured the win in a penalty shootout.

Harambee Stars striker Ryan Ogam scored for Kenya, equalising after Tanel Tammik had given Estonia a first-half lead.

Kenya vs. Grenada: Time and Where to Watch

The playoff match is scheduled to kick off at 5:00 PM EAT on Monday, March 30, at the Amahoro National Stadium in Kigali, Rwanda.

Football fans can watch the match live as it will be streamed by the national broadcaster, Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), and on Azam Sports.

Meanwhile, Grenada enter the match following a significant defeat, having lost 4-0 to the host nation, Rwanda, in their first game.

Before their trip to Rwanda, the Caribbean side played a series of friendlies, recording a 1-0 loss to Jamaica and victories over the United States Virgin Islands (4-1), Cuba (2-0), and the British Virgin Islands (4-1). Their most recent competitive fixture was a World Cup qualifier against Saint Kitts and Nevis.

For Kenya, the loss to Estonia extends their winless streak to four games, a run that includes heavy defeats to Senegal and Ivory Coast. Despite the result, Coach McCarthy expressed pride in his team’s performance, highlighting their character. On paper, Kenya is favoured to win, ranked 112th in the latest FIFA rankings compared to Grenada’s 165th.

Coach Benni McCarthy is expected to rotate his squad, providing opportunities for more players. Zech Obiero made an impressive debut, as did Job Ochieng, though the striker was forced off with an injury in the first half.

Players like Mohamed Bajaber, Austine Odhiambo, and Duke Abuya are strong contenders for a place in the starting lineup.
