Accra, March 13, GNA—The government is working to integrate climate sustainability into various sectors, focusing on sector-by-sector initiatives and climate infrastructure development, Alhaji Baba Seidu Issifu, Minister of State for Climate Change and Sustainability, has said.

He added that engagement with stakeholders to promote sustainability through collaboration and education was also another plan by the government.

The Minister explained to journalists in Parliament on Wednesday that the move will drive climate action across the country.

“We want to ensure that sustainability is at the heart of everything we do,” he said, emphasizing the need for collective action against climate change.

Alhaji Issifu, therefore, called for behavior among the citizenry to help achieve the objective of the government’s proposal.

“Behavior must change if we want to achieve our objective,” he stressed, highlighting the importance of individual actions in combating climate change.

“We are thinking that behavior must change… people must change their attitude and behavior and be mindful of the consequences of future generations,” he added.
