NEWS IN: Ruto Announces 3-day Development Tour At Matiangi’s Backyard From This Date

President William Ruto is scheduled to visit Kisii and Nyamira counties for a three-day development tour starting Monday, November 9, 2026.

The visit, which will run until Wednesday, November 11, is expected to feature the launch and inspection of several government development projects across the Gusii region.

South Mugirango Member of Parliament Silvanus Osoro announced the planned visit on Monday, November 2, saying the President would tour the region to oversee ongoing projects and launch new initiatives.

In a statement, Osoro said the Head of State would be in the region for a series of development activities, adding that a detailed programme would be released once preparations were complete.

Among the projects expected to be launched are the Sengenya-Openda-Karungu-Kiagware Road and the Nyakeyo-Nyamasege-Nyakorere-Moma roads in South Mugirango Constituency.

The UDA legislator also hinted at major announcements during the presidential visit, urging residents to prepare for the President’s arrival.

Osoro said more details about the itinerary would be communicated to the public ahead of the tour.

The upcoming visit comes days after Ruto concluded a three-day development tour of the Ukambani region, which covered parts of Machakos, Makueni and Kitui counties between October 24 and October 26.

During the Ukambani tour, the President presided over several development activities, including road projects, affordable housing initiatives, education and healthcare facilities, rural electrification programmes and the issuance of title deeds.

His programme included visits to Mwala, Mbooni, Kaiti, Masinga, Yatta, Tseikuru, Mwingi Central, Kitui West and Kibwezi East.

In Tseikuru, Kitui County, Ruto inspected an affordable housing project and launched the Twimia-Tseikuru-Usweni Road.

The Kisii and Nyamira tour will provide another opportunity for the administration to showcase its development projects as the President continues his regional visits.

The full itinerary for the three-day tour is yet to be released.
