Methu to Appear on Citizen TV’s Sunday Live Tonight at 9 PM

Senator John Methu who serves as Secretary General of the Democratic Congress Party is set to appear on Citizen TV Kenya tonight. He will join host Jeff Koinange on the flagship programme Jeff Koinange Live.

The announcement was made on Sunday October 11 2026 in a promotional post shared on Facebook by Kaba Methu. The post carried the bold headline DCP Inside The Engine Room and tagged Citizen TV Kenya. It simply stated that JKL would air tonight.

The accompanying graphic is branded Sunday Live and features three people in a modern studio setting. Co-host Olive Burrows appears on the left in a maroon dress. Koinange stands in the centre wearing a navy waistcoat and a blue shirt.

Methu appears on the right in a bright green sleeveless top decorated with colourful beadwork. He also wears a white cowboy style hat and holds a microphone. A caption identifies him as Senator John Methu and Secretary General of DCP.

A red banner repeats the slogan DCP Inside The Engine Room. The schedule confirms that the show will air on Sunday at 9:00PM on Citizen Television.

The post had already attracted 519 reactions and 46 comments at the time it was captured. This points to strong early interest.

By promising to take viewers inside the engine room the party appears keen to showcase its organisation and strategy. It also wants to present its leadership vision to a national audience.

Methu’s cultural attire alongside the polished studio hosts suggests an effort to blend traditional identity with modern political messaging.

Airing in prime time on one of the most watched current affairs platforms in Kenya the interview gives the DCP and its Secretary General major visibility.
