NPP projected to gain 10 seats as NDC faces losses – Global Info Analytics

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) could increase its parliamentary representation by 10 seats if elections were held today, while the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) is projected to lose 32 seats, according to a new analysis by Global Info Analytics.

The Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, Mussa Dankwah, disclosed this on Current Agenda: Your Voice, Your Power on November 7, 2026. He explained that the projections were based on current polling data and constituency-level analysis.

He said the NPP could secure 97 seats, while the NDC could retain 153 seats, although with a significant reduction in its parliamentary strength.

Mr Dankwah explained that the model combined national polling trends with constituency-specific information to assess which parties were likely to retain or lose seats.

Unlike polling approaches in some other countries, he said Global Info Analytics was able to collect data from individual constituencies, allowing it to make more detailed assessments of parliamentary contests.

He stressed that the projections were not predictions of the 2028 election results but an assessment of what could happen if elections were held immediately.

Mr Dankwah said the model was dynamic and could change as new constituency-level information became available.

He also indicated that some seats remained uncertain because respondents either declined to disclose their voting preferences or the contests were too close to call.

The projections suggest that the NDC could retain a parliamentary majority but would struggle to reproduce the overwhelming numbers it secured in the 2024 general elections.

Mr Dankwa urged political parties to identify their vulnerabilities early and focus on constituencies where improvements in candidate selection or party performance could influence electoral outcomes.
