Ngoja ngoja huumiza matumbo: George Ruto responds to TikTokers asking when he will also marry

President William Ruto’s son, George, has responded to a TikToker who challenged him to come clean on when he would also walk down the aisle, just like his sister Charlene, who recently married Isaya Yunge.

The exchange happened on Saturday, November 7, 2026, after George shared a video showing him bonding with Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi as they waited for Charlene’s wedding celebrations to officially get underway.

George accompanied the video with a caption about spending time with elders, while making a light-hearted reference to the difficult questions he sometimes gets asked and how he resorts to laughing to avoid giving direct answers.

The video showed the two politicians’ close companion looking sharp in designer suits, with Sudi dressed in a black suit while George opted for a cream-coloured outfit. The two appeared relaxed as they shared the moment ahead of the much-anticipated wedding celebrations.

However, while George may have intended to give his followers a glimpse of his time with Sudi, the post quickly turned attention to his own love life, with some TikTok users taking the opportunity to ask when he would also settle down.

One user identified as @elegance was among those who brought up the subject, directly asking George when he planned to get married, using the moment to remind him that his sister had already taken that major step.

“Utaoa lini wewe kijana,” she wrote, adding laughing emojis.

George first liked the comment before responding with a cheeky suggestion that the TikToker should direct the question to someone called William, apparently referring to his father, President William Ruto.

His brief response drew attention to the playful nature of the exchange, as he appeared to pass the responsibility of answering the marriage question to his father rather than revealing his own plans.

Another TikToker, using the username @lusenchah, also joined the conversation, telling George that he was now the one people were waiting to see get married following Charlene’s wedding.

George once again responded in a light-hearted manner, warning the TikToker that waiting for him could leave her impatient. He used a familiar Swahili saying to drive his point home without giving away whether he had any immediate wedding plans.

“Ng oja ngoja huumiza matumbo,” he wrote.

The exchange came as George joined other members of the Ruto family and invited guests for Charlene’s wedding celebrations, which had drawn considerable attention from Kenyans following the couple’s traditional marriage ceremony in August.

Charlene and Isaya held their traditional wedding on Saturday, August 8, 2026, bringing together members of their families to formalise their union through customary marriage proceedings.

The celebrations continued in November, with Charlene holding her bridal shower in Nairobi on Tuesday, November 3. Her sister, Stephanie Jepchumba, was among those who joined her for the pre-wedding celebration as preparations gathered pace ahead of the white wedding.

The couple’s white wedding celebrations were held in Mwanza, Tanzania, with Malaika Beach Resort featuring among the locations associated with the occasion. The event attracted family members, friends and several high-profile guests, including politicians and entertainers who shared photographs and videos from the celebrations.

Among the guests who gave Kenyans glimpses of the occasion was Nairobi Senator Karen Nyamu, who was captured dancing inside the main reception tent in a green, shoulder-baring dress as other guests sat at their tables and refreshments were served.

George also shared photographs from the lavish celebrations, showing him enjoying himself and bonding with his new brother-in-law, including a picture in which Isaya appeared to lean towards him and whisper something into his ear.

In another post, George celebrated the completion of the marriage journey, from the dowry arrangements to the exchange of vows, expressing happiness that his sister had found someone to share her life with.

“The herd was paid, the vows exchanged. Deal officially sealed! 💍🐄,” he wrote.
