KNEC Reveals When Marking of KJSEA Scripts Will Be Completed and When Results Shall Be Released

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has finally given members of the public an update on when the marking of the Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) scripts will be completed and when the results will be released.

According to the examination council, as from Monday 9th November, 2026, contracted examiners shall report to the marking centres and it will take approximately three (3) weeks to complete marking of the 2026 KJSEA scripts.

Aside from that, the council also indicated that the results will then be released in December 2026, to allow the learners to transition to Grade 10 early in January 2027, and to give parents across the country an ample time to prepare for the smooth transition of their loved ones to Senior schools.

Known by many, the 2026 KJSEA examination came to an end on Friday, 30th October, 2026, marking the second historic assessment for Grade 9 learners under the Competency-Based Education (CBE) system that replaced the old 8-4-4 model.
