“Nilikuwa Nafikiri Nitawapanga Lakini Mmeniweza” Ruto Admits Astonishment at Massive Mbooni Crowd

President William Ruto expressed surprise at the large crowd that turned out to welcome him during his development tour of Mbooni, Makueni County.

Addressing residents, Ruto joked that he had expected a smaller gathering but was overwhelmed by the turnout, telling the crowd they had surprised him.

The President was accompanied by regional leaders, including Principal Secretary Terry Mbaika, as he addressed residents and outlined development priorities for the area.

Ruto pledged to support infrastructure improvements, highlighting roads, water supply and better market access for farmers. He said his administration would work with local leaders to advance development projects in Mbooni and the wider lower Eastern region.

The visit formed part of the government’s efforts to engage communities and outline its development plans. Ruto thanked residents for their reception and reiterated his commitment to improving infrastructure and services.
