“Askari, Habari Zenu,” John Methu Waves at Police Officers During DCP Rally
Nyandarua Senator and Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) Secretary-General Hon. John Methu warmly greeted police officers as they passed by during a party rally in Westlands Constituency, Nairobi.
Methu paused his address to wave at the officers, drawing attention from supporters gathered at the event.
The senator was accompanied by Ol Kalou Member of Parliament Douglas Kamau Ngotho, Ken Babu and other party leaders during the rally.
In his remarks, Methu addressed the welfare of police officers and other public servants, pointing to the financial pressures they face. He urged officers to support political change, promising that a future administration led by his side would prioritise their welfare, improve working conditions and ensure fair compensation.
“When we form the government, we will take proper care of you,” Methu told the officers, prompting cheers from supporters.
The exchange added a lighthearted moment to the rally while reinforcing the party’s message on workers’ welfare and governance.
