Hundreds of Burundians are seeking help at their embassy in Nairobi as Kenya tightens rules on foreign traders. President William Ruto has backed restrictions on small retail businesses operated by foreigners without permits, prompting many migrants to rush to secure legal documents. Some Burundians report evictions, robberies and xenophobic attacks, while others are considering returning home. Human rights groups have raised concerns as Kenya gives undocumented foreigners 90 days to regularize their status.
