UK, September 11, 2026 – Joao Pedro has been named the EA SPORTS FC Player of the Month for August after helping Chelsea make a strong start to the new Premier League campaign.
The Brazilian forward scored two goals and provided two assists as Chelsea won their opening two league matches. His performances placed him ahead of the other nominees and earned him his first Premier League Player of the Month award.
Pedro made an immediate impact in Chelsea’s 3-2 victory over Fulham. He scored after only 31 seconds, using a clever flick over goalkeeper Bernd Leno before later creating an opportunity for Cole Palmer.
His contribution continued in Chelsea’s second match of the campaign. Across the opening two fixtures, Pedro was directly involved in four goals, underlining his importance to Chelsea’s attack.
The award marks a personal milestone for Pedro, who joined Chelsea after previously playing for Brighton & Hove Albion. It also ends a wait for Chelsea, with Cole Palmer having been the club’s last winner in September 2024.
