Mzansi’s beloved power couple has landed one of the most exciting hosting gigs in reality television. Dineo Langa and her husband, rapper Zothile “Solo” Langa, have been officially confirmed as the hosts of Love Is Blind South Africa, the local adaptation of the globally acclaimed dating franchise.

On 7 September 2026, the pair broke the news on social media, expressing their excitement about stepping into this new chapter together.

“South Africa, it’s official! We’re your hosts for the very first Love Is Blind: South Africa. The real question is: who’s ready to fall in love without seeing each other?”

What is Love Is Blind?

For those unfamiliar with the format, Love Is Blind is a hit reality dating show and social experiment. Single men and women try to find love and get engaged without ever laying eyes on one another. Contestants live in separate private spaces called “pods,” where they go on dates and form deep emotional connections through conversation alone. They can hear each other but cannot see each other at any point during this phase.

If two people fall in love, one must propose. Only after the proposal is accepted does the couple finally meet face to face for the very first time. It’s a bold concept that has captivated audiences worldwide, and South Africa’s version is already generating enormous buzz.

The casting of the Langas as co-hosts makes a lot of sense given their own love story. Dineo, an actress and TV personality, and Solo, a rapper and creative, have been together since 2012 and tied the knot in 2019 after seven years of dating. Their relationship is a living testament to the kind of deep connection the show aims to foster.

Celebrity peers celebrate the news

Fellow South African celebrities were quick to share their excitement.

Rapper and businesswoman Boity Thulo was among the first to react:

“This makes COMPLETE sense! I’m so excited!! CONGRATULATIONS, LOVERS.”

Actress and TV presenter Jessica Nkosi added:

“Oh, I love this. Congratulations! Literally the best people for this.”

Actor Thembinkosi Mthembu was enthusiastic:

“Come on with it!”

Actress Gail Mabalane was equally thrilled:

“Oh YES! A thousand per cent YES!”

The overwhelming support from their peers reflects how well-loved the couple is in the South African entertainment industry and why many feel they are the perfect pair to guide hopeful singles through one of TV’s most unique romantic journeys.
