Ghana’s online passport application service is temporarily unavailable due to a technical fault, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced.

In a notice issued on August, 25, 2026, the Ministry said its passport application website, passport.mfa.gov.gh, was experiencing technical problems.

It said its technical team was working with the National Signals Bureau (NSB) to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

The Ministry apologised to customers for the inconvenience caused by the outage.

It said it would provide an update once the problem had been resolved.

The Ministry did not disclose the nature of the technical problem or indicate how long the website would remain unavailable.
