Barosky
Musician, Barosky, has appealed for public support to help him return home after reportedly finding himself homeless on the streets of Manchester in the United Kingdom.
The musician, known in private life as Isaac Obeng Mensah, made the appeal in a video which surfaced online showing his current condition.
Speaking to media personality, Nana Romeo, Barosky revealed that he has been sleeping on the streets and struggling to meet basic needs, including food and access to bathing facilities.
“I sleep on the street for now. I haven’t even bathed for some time now. People help me to feed,” he said.
Barosky explained that he has no family in the UK and only a few friends, and that it has also been some time since he last contacted his family in Ghana.
Despite his difficult circumstances, the musician said his priority is not to secure accommodation in the UK but to return to Ghana.
“I need a room, but if I had to choose between having a room and returning to Ghana, I would choose to come home,” he said.
Barosky rose to prominence through his contributions to some popular Ghanaian songs, including Kofi Nti’s ‘Rakia’ and Ofori Amponsah’s ‘Otoolege.’
He developed an interest in music while at Golden Six College in Laterbiokorshie, where he served as Assistant Entertainment Prefect.
He later trained as a sound engineer under renowned producer Appietus between 2002 and 2004 and subsequently worked as his assistant engineer.
Barosky eventually pursued his own music career and released the 10-track album ‘Okyerewaa Ba’ in 2007, which enjoyed significant airplay.
Over the years, he has collaborated with several Ghanaian artistes, including Ofori Amponsah, Kofi Nti, K.K. Fosu and Sidney.
Now facing a difficult chapter in his life, Barosky is appealing to individuals and organisations willing to support him in making the journey back to Ghana.
