Abukari Dokurgu is an End Stage Kidney Disease patient at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) where he is required to undergo three sessions of dialysis weekly.

With each session costing GH¢400, totaling GH¢1,200 weekly, the ultimate goal is a kidney transplant, a procedure which is costly.

The patient, according to the TTH, requires an amount of between $30,000 to $35,000 for the procedure to be undertaken locally. To be done abroad, it will cost between $35,000 and $45,000.

The patient and his family are unable to fund the procedure, and are appealing to the public to come to their aid. Contributions may be sent to the Consolidated Bank Tamale Main. The account number is 1707895100001.
