Adjei-Mensah (4R) with the team and management

Ghana’s Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Theresa Adjei-Mensah, has welcomed the Black Princesses to Poland ahead of the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

Ambassador Adjei-Mensah travelled from Prague to meet the team in Krakow, where she encouraged the players to represent Ghana with pride and assured them of the government’s continued support.

She said President John Dramani Mahama is aware of the responsibility before the young players and has pledged his support as they prepare for the tournament.

The Ambassador also promised to engage the Ghanaian community in Poland to mobilise support for the team throughout the competition, assuring the players that she and her team would be present at the stadium to cheer them on.

The Black Princesses are currently based in Krakow and will play a series of international friendly matches as head coach Charles Sampson continues to fine-tune his squad.

Ghana will begin its World Cup campaign against Ecuador on September 6, 2026, before facing Korea Republic and France in their remaining Group Stage matches.
