Accra, Aug. 13, GNA – CIPA Holdings Group has been named the Renewable Energy Solutions and Sustainable Infrastructure Company of the Year at the 3rd Ghana Business Integrity Awards 2026.

The Group’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Kwaku Osei Sarpong, also received the Visionary Leader in Clean Energy Financing and Sustainable Infrastructure Development Award for his contribution to innovative infrastructure financing and Africa’s clean energy transition.

The awards ceremony was organised on the theme: “Sustaining Trust: Integrity as the Currency for Business Growth.”

A statement issued in Accra said the awards recognisedorganisations and business leaders demonstrating excellence in ethical leadership, corporate governance, transparency, accountability and responsible business practices.

It said the recognition reflected its evolution from a renewable energy developer into an institutional platform combining infrastructure development, innovative financing and project execution to support Ghana’s energy transition.

The Group operates as an “Institutional Integrator,” working at the intersection of policy, capital and project execution to develop climate-resilient infrastructure for commercial, industrial, mining, agricultural and public sector organisations.

The statement said its energy development subsidiary, CIPA Energy Resources, develops, finances, implements and manages clean energy infrastructure, including solar photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage systems.

The company delivers some of its projects through a Solar as a Service model, under which it designs, finances, installs, owns, operates and maintains solar and battery storage assets for clients.

The statement said under the model, clients pay for the energy services they consume rather than making significant upfront investments in the underlying infrastructure, enabling them to strengthen energy security, reduce emissions and preserve capital for core business activities.

The Group develops financing models in partnership with banks, pension funds, development finance institutions and private investors to mobilise capital for renewable energy and climate-resilient infrastructure projects.

Mr Osei Sarpong said integrity was fundamental to attracting investment, sustaining partnerships and delivering infrastructure that governments, financiers, industries and communities could trust.

He said the recognition belonged to the CIPA team, financing and implementation partners, and institutions that had trusted the company to help deliver sustainable infrastructure across Africa.

Mr Osei Sarpong added that maintaining high standards of governance, transparency and accountability would be essential as Ghana attracted increased domestic and international investment into renewable energy and climate-resilient infrastructure.

The latest recognition adds to honours received by CIPA Holdings Group and its Founder, including the Forbes Africa feature, Rising Star of the Year award at the Ghana Energy Awards 2024, 40 Under 40 Award for Environmental and Climate Sustainability, and recognition among Africa’s 100 Most Influential Young Leaders.

He said the Group would continue to expand access to innovative financing, strengthen partnerships with governments and financial institutions, and deliver commercially viable infrastructure to advance energy security, industrial competitiveness and sustainable economic growth across Ghana and Africa.
