Accra, Aug. 11, GNA – Rabito Clinic has marked 50 years of healthcare service with a nationwide durbar, reaffirming its commitment to quality, patient-centred care and plans to expand its healthcare and dermatology services into other African countries and international markets.
The celebration, held on August 7, 2026, on the theme: “50 Years and Beyond,” brought together management, doctors, nurses and staff across the organisation’s 19 branches to celebrate its achievements and discuss its future.
The milestone marked the organisation’s journey since its establishment in July 1974 by Naa Professor Edmund Nminyem Delle Chiir VIII, who opened its first clinic at Kanda before relocating it to Osu in Accra.
From its beginnings with a strong focus on dermatology and skincare, Rabito Clinic has developed into a 19-branch healthcare network offering gynaecology, laboratory services, occupational health, dietetics, psychology and other specialised services.
It also operates the Rabito Cosmetic Centre, which provides skincare, cosmetic and wellness services, and has attended to more than one million patients since its establishment.
Reflecting on the milestone, Prof Delle, the Founder, said the longevity of the organisation demonstrated the importance of continuous improvement and collective effort in sustaining an institution.
“It’s an opportunity for us to work more, to refine the business and to attempt the business in better ways. Some businesses start and fold within 10 to 20 years, but this business has been standing for over 50 years,” he said.
“It’s beautiful for everybody that the business has been able to bring us this far.”
He also recalled Rabito’s original motto, “I medicate and God heals,” which later evolved into “We medicate and God heals,” reflecting the shared responsibility of staff in the patient’s journey to recovery.
Mr Banguu Peter Delle, Chief Executive Officer, of Rabito, reaffirmed the clinic’s commitment to building a healthcare system founded on reliability, confidentiality and consistency of care.
He revealed that the clinic plans to expand its healthcare and dermatology services beyond Ghana into other African countries and international markets while maintaining its standards of quality, professionalism and patient-centred care.
Mr Delle also said Rabito planned to establish the Delle Dermatology University to deepen its contribution to dermatology education and train the next generation of professionals.
He urged healthcare institutions, strategic partners and healthcare professionals to explore collaborations aimed at expanding access to trusted and specialised healthcare in Ghana and beyond.
Mr Delle acknowledged staff members, including those who had served the organisation for nearly 20 years, saying their dedication had contributed significantly to sustaining Rabito’s reputation.
“Fifty years and beyond of Rabito is a legacy of people, trust and lives touched,” he said.
“We honour that past by building a future of greater compassion, excellence, innovation and technology, because the best is yet to come.”
He encouraged younger employees to take ownership of the organisation’s future and speak up when improvements were needed.
The CEO also highlighted the recent introduction of insurance coverage for staff as part of efforts to improve employee welfare.
Rabito Clinic has expanded its reach through partnerships with organisations and insurance providers, including Acacia, GLICO and Nationwide Insurance, while collaborating with institutions in healthcare, fitness and wellness.
These include Pulse Fitness Ghana, the National Petroleum Authority, Henner Bima and Euro-Center.
