Kameme FM radio presenter Muthoni wa Kirumba, popularly known as Baby Top, has been thrown into mourning following the death of a close friend’s child.

Her absence from the airwaves recently left fans wondering what had happened, prompting questions about her whereabouts to be directed at her co-host Chef Gathemba.
Who is Baby Top mourning?
Gathemba confirmed that Baby Top had taken time away from her radio duties after the sudden death of a young child belonging to a close friend.

He shared that he had spoken with Baby Top and learned about the heartbreaking loss.

“I have met Mama Bear (Baby T) today, and it is a very, very sad story. I would like to send my condolences to them because they have lost a child of one of their friends. It is a young child called Master Theo Kiragu Gathiga. He was the child of Peter Gathiga Kinyita and Mercy Wanjiru Kiragu, and brother to Tendai Kinyita,” Gathemba said.
According to the radio presenter, the child passed away on Sunday, June 14, and Baby Top was present during the tragic incident.
“The child was rushed to AAR Hospital, and doctors did their best, but the will of God prevailed. That is why she has not been in the studio, as they are making the final burial arrangements,” he said.
Gathemba avoided sharing details surrounding the incident, respecting the family’s privacy during the difficult period.
He further revealed that friends and relatives are gathering at the Kinyita family home along Kiambu Road from 5 pm ahead of the burial, which will take place on Friday, June 19, in Gatundu.
The child’s body is currently at Lee Funeral Home.
“We offer our condolences to Kinyita and his family during this difficult time,” he added.
