President Rental Professionals Society of Nigeria (RPSN)/ Chief executive of Jason Davids Rentals and Events Limited, Taiwo Oderinlo, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to assist members in reducing the costs of importation
of rental equipment.

Addressing journalists ahead of the forthcoming Rental Expo 3.0. in Lagos, she observed getting equipment from China didn’t cost so much, but bringing them to Nigeria was a big challenge.

To her, ‘the cost of shipping and clearance are too expensive. We need the backing of government in policy making. The money that RPSN generates for the economy is enormous.”

She disclosed the theme of this year’s conference is, “Legacy, luxury & longevity.”

Oderinlo stated the theme was carefully chosen to reflect the aspirations and realities of their industry.

She said the celebration would culminate in the Ojude RPSN, the Grand Ethnic Dinner and Awards Night.

Inspired by the grandeur, elegance, and cultural pride associated with the renowned Ojude Oba Festival, she stated the event promises to be an unforgettable evening of culture, celebration, and recognition.

She concluded Ojude RPSN is more than a dinner; it is a celebration of excellence.

Concerning RPSN achievements, Oderinlo identified the association’s successful China Trade Mission 2026.

To her, the historic mission represented a major turning point for their association and industry.

On her part, RPSN Secretary II Olayinka Osaji, the Chief Executive of Rentals by Magna Limited noted that a respected business leader Akinboye Odeku, founder of Classicus Rentals Limited is the keynote speaker.

Some other speakers according to her include, Adeyemi Aminat Odukoya of Simply HRM; seasoned entrepreneur Abisola Oduyale, founder Bisbod Nigeria limited; business leader, Oluwatoyin Bakare, Chief Executive of SAS Textiles; Jennifer Odufuwa, founder of Thrive Beyond, among others.

In her contribution, RPSN Secretary 1, Damilola Okunade, Chief executive of Karts Events Limited added, ‘whether you are a seasoned rental professional or just beginning your journey, my hope is that the upcoming conference will inspire fresh ideas, meaningful connections, and actionable steps that will help our members elevate their business and shape the future of our industry.’

Okunade added that “the full schedule of activities includes corporate social responsibility with donations to Lagos Food Bank on June 9; annual conference and Ojude RPSN the grand ethnic dinner on June 11; and the exhibition between September 21 and 22, 2026.”.

RPSN Public Relations Executive and Chief executive of Luxury Rental by Berry, an arm of The Berry Place , Mrs Bukola Uviase added that “RPSN Expo 3.0 is the gathering of leading rental professionals and companies in Nigeria and provides the platform for the advancement, support and empowerment of rental service providers across the nation, helping them to think legacy, as they position their businesses for growth ” she stated.
