The Villa Real defensive midfielder who is amongst four Ghanaian players with the current squad making their second FIFA World Cup appearance will be unable to travel from Ghana Black Stars team base camp in Boston, USA, to Canada where Ghana plays their first Group L opener.
The former Atletico Madrid and Arsenal FC player has been denied visa by the Canadian government, hence will miss Ghana’s first match against Panama scheduled for Wednesday, 17 June, 2026. Football governing body, FIFA has been duly informed over the development.
