Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku has revealed that although he remains eligible to contest for a third term in office, he may choose not to seek re-election when his current mandate expires.
Speaking on his future plans, Okraku disclosed that he still has two years remaining on his second term as GFA President but is yet to decide whether he will pursue another term.
“I have two years left to complete my second term as GFA President. I am eligible to contest for a third term, but perhaps I may not,” he said as quoted by 90 plus sports.
Okraku was first elected as GFA President in October 2019 and secured a second term following his re-election. Under his leadership, Ghana football has undergone several reforms, including improvements in infrastructure, youth football development, women’s football, and governance structures within the game.
While Okraku has not ruled out another bid entirely, his latest remarks suggest he is keeping his options open as he focuses on completing his current term in office.
