Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has extended Eid-el-Adha greetings to Muslims in Katsina State, Nigeria and across the world, urging the faithful to pray for lasting peace, security and national unity.

This is contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Mohammed and made available to newsmen on Tuesday.

Radda described the Islamic festival as a reminder of the virtues of faith, obedience and sacrifice, which he said should guide both leaders and citizens.

According to the statement, “the Governor noted that the Day of Arafat, the spiritual pinnacle of the Hajj season, is a moment of unparalleled grace, during which the prayers of the faithful are received with particular mercy.

“He called on Muslims in Katsina and beyond to use that sacred window to intercede fervently for peace, security, and lasting tranquillity in the State and across Nigeria.

“Governor Radda equally reflected on the enduring lesson of Prophet Ibrahim’s supreme act of submission, describing it as a spiritual compass for leadership in trying times.

“The Governor wished all pilgrims currently performing the Hajj a spiritually fulfilling and safe experience, praying that Allah accept their devotion and return them home with the blessings of Hajj Mabrur.

“He also called on Muslims to use the season of Eid to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, extend generosity to the less privileged, and promote the values of compassion and communal harmony that lie at the very heart of Islam.

“The Governor further reaffirmed the Building Your Future administration’s commitment to the welfare, security, and development of all residents of Katsina State, regardless of faith or background, and pledged to continue working tirelessly in service of the people”, the statement read.
