Basake Holy Stars were denied a 13th consecutive home victory at the AAK II Sports Arena after suffering a 4-2 defeat to Dreams FC in their final match of the season on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

The visitors secured only their third away win of the campaign with an impressive attacking display to edge Holy Stars in an entertaining six-goal encounter.

Mohammed Shaban starred for the ‘Still Believe’, scoring once in each half to cap off a brilliant performance. The talented winger opened the scoring in the 35th minute before Godfred Sarpong doubled Dreams FC’s advantage deep into first-half stoppage time.

Shaban struck again seven minutes after the restart to make it 3-0 and put the visitors firmly in control of the contest. Holy Stars responded with a goal to spark hopes of a comeback, but Nemorden restored Dreams FC’s three-goal cushion with a strike in the 63rd minute.

The hosts managed to pull another goal back late in the game, but it proved only a consolation as Dreams FC held on to secure a memorable away victory.

Holy Stars finish the campaign in 12th place in the league standings with 46 points after an impressive home display.

For Dreams FC, an impressive turnaround in the second half of the season has earned them a 4th-place finish with 52 points, completing a remarkable recovery after a difficult start to the campaign.
