CONFIRMED: Asante Kotoko SC engage Morifying Donzo entourage to part ways

Asante Kotoko SC have met with the camp of Morifing Donzo over termination of contract at the end of the ongoing 2025/26 league season, Ghanasportspage.com can confirm.

The 27-year-old striker who joined Kotoko from Hafia FC in August 2025 has failed to impress the Ghanaian giants, hence the club decision to part ways with him to pave way for other recruits.

Donzo, having featured in both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup before completing a three-year move to the Porcupine Warriors could not exhibit his goalscoring prowess, netting just five times in 27 appearance.

His overall output has fallen short of the expectations typically placed on attackers at a club of Kotoko’s stature.

He’s struggled to lead the attack as the preferred first choice, falling to the peaking order of four, behind Albert Amoah, Yaro, and Kwame Poku. He’s inconsistency has influenced the club’s decision to end the relationship as they consider reshaping their forward line.

Donzo has two years remaining in his contract but would depart the club after the elapse of 2025/26 league season with talks between both parties sealed and agreed.
