Agya Koo among other members on the streets of Accra
Kumawood actor Alexander Kofi Adu, popularly known as Agya Koo, has arrived in Accra to officially register his newly formed political party and take his message to the streets of the capital.
In videos going viral on social media, the veteran actor, flanked by a security detail and accompanied by an entourage dressed in white outfits embossed with the party logo, was spotted trekking through Accra.
The party, dubbed the Ghana First Party, was announced by Agya Koo as a direct challenge to the decades-long dominance of the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress.

Speaking in a media interview, the actor said his new party intends to position itself as a credible third force capable of breaking the two-party grip on Ghanaian politics.
“The Ghana First Movement is building support across all 16 regions, with plans to form the political party in the near future. We all know that political power has largely alternated between the two major parties.
“That is why some people believe there is a need for a third party that can improve the lives of Ghanaians,” he had said.
This new development comes as a surprise to many on social media, as the actor had been a staunch supporter of the NPP.
