The Ghana Football Association has confirmed the venue for the 2026 Division One League Super Cup, which has been scheduled to kick-start from 10th August to 18th August 2026.

According to the Ghana FA, the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium has been selected for the seven [7] days competition. Obuasi came tops from a list of venues considered for this year’s edition of the competition.

The selection of Obuasi also aligns with the Association’s commitment to take its competitions to different parts of the country while ensuring participating clubs and supporters enjoy a high-quality match-day experience at one of Ghana’s premier football venues.

The X1 DOL Super Cup, which features the top-performing clubs from the Division One League, has become a flagship competition that showcases the immense talent and competitiveness within Ghana’s second-tier football structure. This year’s edition will bring together eight clubs from the three DOL league zones, all vying for the coveted title.

The Obuasi Len Clay Stadium, renowned for its excellent playing surface, modern facilities, and rich football heritage, is expected to provide the perfect setting for the competition.

The venue has hosted numerous high-profile domestic and international matches and remains one of the most respected football facilities in the country.

The tournament will feature Debibi United and Tamale City from Zone One, FC AshantiGold and Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs from Zone Two, and Port City FC and Semper Fi FC from Zone Three.

They will be joined by Attram De Visser SC and Nsuopon Fidelity FC, who qualified as the two best third-placed teams across the Division One Leagues.

The eight qualified clubs will be drawn into two groups of four, with the top-performing teams advancing to the knockout stage in pursuit of X1 DOL Super Cup glory.

The hosting of the competition in Obuasi is expected to generate significant excitement among football fans in the Ashanti Region and beyond, particularly with local side FC AshantiGold 04 among the participating clubs.

The 2026 edition marks a new chapter for the competition following the recent partnership between the Association and X1 Energy Drink, which was unveiled as the headline sponsor of the tournament under a five-year agreement.
