Ghana coach Otto Addo is in disarray with two months to 2026 FIFA World Cup as his right-back position remains a spot for opponents to deploy.

The German trained Ghanaian tactician has yet to find a suitable right back for the Black Stars before the Mundial starts. Following, the inconsistency of Alidu Seidu and injury worries of Tariq Lamptey, the right side of defense for the West African country has become a loophole with a better option yet to show up.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday ahead of the international friendly with Germany, Otto Addo said “We have two more months to look (for a new right back). I do not think we will find (a right back before the World Cup.)’’

The Nordsjælland midfielder has being operating at the right back in the absence of Tariq and Alidu, featuring in Ghana’s last three matches.

Otto Addo, despite showing no confidence in getting a better option said the existing options in the current Black Stars pool will be observed.

‘‘I think on our database, and also myself in my head, I know all the Ghanaian players who are possible (right back options) who have the strength and quality”

“We will look at their form and their club, but also the little training we do here.’’

Meanwhile, Caleb Yirenkyi’s last two matches have been characterized by one error that led to a goal against Austria and a penalty against South Korea.
