A fire outbreak has destroyed a container housing solar inverter batteries at the Ghana Digital Terrestrial Transmission Centre in Brekuso in the Eastern Region.
In a Facebook post, the Ghana National Fire Service noted that the incident occurred on March 28, 2026, with the blaze rapidly intensifying due to the presence of lithium batteries.
Emergency responders were deployed to the scene and were able to contain the fire before it spread to adjoining structures.

No casualties were recorded.
According to GNFS, the cause of the fire is yet to be established, as investigations continue.
