The Head and Missionary-in-Charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, Maulvi Mohammed Bin Salih, has expressed strong confidence in the leadership credentials of the Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu.

Speaking at a courtesy call on the minister in Accra on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, he described Iddrisu’s style of leadership as one destined for greater national significance.

The respected Islamic cleric underscored what he described as a rare blend of humility, accessibility, and dedication in the Minister’s public service.

He observed that the Minister’s natural rapport with citizens continues to strengthen public trust, noting that such a connection is a defining trait of impactful leadership.

“His engagement with the ordinary Ghanaian reflects a leadership style that resonates deeply with the people and reinforces confidence in his role,” he stated.

The Ahmadiyya leader further described Haruna Iddrisu as part of a new generation of “energetic and patriotic” leaders—individuals capable of bridging the gap between experience and youthful innovation in governance.

Courtesy call

The courtesy call, by the delegation from the Mission led by Maulvi Bin Salih to the Minister’s office, was to commiserate with him in a recent accident which he was involved in, while on his way to Wa in the Upper West Region for an official duty.

The Minister was invited by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission as a special guest at the graduation ceremony of the Nusra Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education in Wa.

Recounting the Minister’s visit to Wa, which resulted in the road accident, the Missionary-in-Charge highlighted that the minister’s commitment to duty had since captured public admiration.

“The Minister of Education has demonstrated a spirit of sacrifice that is truly inspiring,” he noted. “To proceed with his duties after such a traumatic event speaks volumes of his character and dedication to the people of Ghana.”

Signal of Greater Leadership Potential

According to Maulvi Bin Salih, the Minister’s consistent demonstration of commitment to national duty is a clear indicator of his readiness for higher responsibility.

“I am convinced that this young man has a lot of good in him for Ghana,” he emphasised. “As the years go by, the results of this dedication will be evident for all to see.”

A Model for Ghana’s Youth

Maulvi Bin Salih stressed that the Minister’s actions present a compelling example for Ghanaian youth, urging them to emulate such discipline, resilience, and commitment to service.

He encouraged young people to invest in personal development and position themselves to build upon the foundations laid by the current leaders.

Gratitude and Forward Outlook

Expressing gratitude to Almighty Allah for the Minister’s safety, the Ahmadiyya leader described his survival and continued service as a blessing not only to the education sector but to the nation as a whole.

He concluded with a strong note of optimism, expressing confidence that the Minister’s dedication will yield measurable progress in Ghana’s education system in the years ahead.

Welcoming the delegation Idrrisu thanked God for saving his and for the mercy showed him and his convoy and was grateful that the leadership of the mission found it important to visit him.

He also thanked all who solidarised with him during the difficult period of the accident and asked for God’s blessings for them.

The minister said Government remained committed to expanding infrastructure to reach out to all communities in the country.
