Gospel Singer, Kehinde Adegbodu has opened up on the sudden death of his twin brother, Taiwo Adegbodu, explaining what happened shortly before the singer passed away.

Naija News reports that Taiwo, who was part of the gospel music group Adegbodu Twins, died in late February.

At the time, Kehinde confirmed the sad news but did not explain what led to his brother’s death.

About a week later, Kehinde shared more details while speaking with visitors who came to their family house in Ibadan to offer condolences.

During the discussion, he explained that his brother had not been battling any illness before the incident that led to his death.

According to him, both of them had followed their usual routine on the night before the tragedy.

After their regular evening prayers around 9 p.m., each of them went into separate rooms to rest.

Later that night, Taiwo reportedly came to his brother’s room complaining about pain in his chest.

Kehinde said the incident happened close to 11 p.m., when his twin knocked on his door to explain how he was feeling.

Kehinde immediately rushed him to a hospital in an attempt to get urgent medical attention.

However, the situation worsened quickly and the singer died only a few minutes after arriving at the hospital.

He said: “He came to knock at my door at 10:55 p.m. that he was having chest pains, and I drove him to the hospital immediately and he died a few minutes later. He was never sick.

“We went to our separate rooms after our every night routine prayers at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28.”
