Veteran Nollywood actress, Eucharia Anunobi, recently berated a media personality on the ‘The Honest Bunch’ podcast over the manner in which she was introduced during the show.
Naija News reports that in the snippet of the show making rounds online, the host referred to the movie star as “Ukeriya Anunobi Eku.”
However, the ace thespian immediately interjected to correct the pronunciation and to clarify that her credentials were removed from the introduction.
Anunobi explained that her proper name is Eucharia Anunobi and prefers to be addressed by her full title.
She insisted that the host introduce her as “Apostle Dr Eucharia Anunobi,” making it clear that the academic and spiritual titles were not honorary but achievements she had worked hard to earn.
She said, “If you want to introduce me, you introduce me properly. I am remain Apostle Dr. Eucharia Anunobi. My doctorate degree is not honorarium. It is academic. I had worked. I had laboured. I am schooled. And when I mean schooled, I mean schooled… I’m a moving acting machine.”
Meanwhile, Eucharia Anunobi recently spoke out over fears for her safety, saying her life and ministry are under serious threat.
Anunobi shared a video on Instagram on Sunday, warning that any harm to her, her family members, or her property in Nigeria or abroad should be blamed on Apostle Psalm Okpe, the founder of Fresh Oil Ministry in Egbeda, Lagos, and his family.
She also stated that she is willing to undergo a medical examination to prove that she has not been sexually active for almost 14 years since she was ordained into ministry.
In the video, Anunobi explained that she decided to speak after seeing various stories spreading online about her.
She said she remains firm in her calling and will not allow any attempt to distract or weaken her work.
